    Paula Turner, President - Paula worked at New Boston ISD for 28 years - 2 years as a High School math teacher and 26 years as a High School Academic Counselor. She had previously served 5 years as a Middle School Math teacher at Lewisville ISD. She currently works part-time for Texarkana College at the TC@TexAmericas site at Red River Army Depot. Paula belongs to the Texas Retired Teachers Association, Delta Kappa Gamma, and is an alumnus of Chi Omega Sorority. She is a member of Tapp Memorial United Methodist Church, teaches Sunday School there and shares the duties of computer technology for church services. She also serves on the Public Library Board for the City of New Boston. Paula is married to David Turner, a Real Estate Appraiser, and has two children - Joshua Turner, Defensive Coordinator and Head Baseball Coach for Brownsboro ISD  and married to Haley Hardage Turner, and Jonathan, who currently attends Texas Christian University.



    Frank Buchanan

    Frank Buchanan, Vice President - Frank was elected to New Boston ISD School Board in May 2016. He is a Retired Educator after 36 years as a teacher and school administrator in the Texarkana Arkansas School District, Ashdown School District, and New Boston ISD. Frank and his wife Janet have three children, four grandchildren.  Frank’s family has been very involved in education. His wife taught English for 37 years, and their daughter is a professor at University of Utah. Frank’s brother has been on Texarkana AR School Board for over 20 years, and his sister was a school band director for almost 30 years, his father-in-law was an educator and school administrator for over 30 years, while his mother-in-law taught elementary school for over 20 years.  Frank holds a Bachelor of Science in Education, Southern Arkansas University and a Masters in Interdisciplinary Studies, Texas A & M Texarkana.  He is the Field Supervisor Dept. of Educational Leadership University of Texas at Arlington, a lifetime member of P.T.A. and Vocational Industrial Clubs of America, Chairman of Red River Federal Credit Union Supervisory Committee, Member of City of New Boston Zoning Committee, Officer and Past President of New Boston Noon Lions Club, Member of First Baptist Church of New Boston, Chairman Stewardship Committee, and Treasurer New Boston Texas Gideon Camp



    Paula Williams

    Paula Williams, Secretary - Paula has served on the New Boston School Board since 2009, and recently served as Assistant Secretary. She is a 1981 graduate of New Boston High School. Paula earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M University in 1986. She has been employed with Bowie County since 1989. Paula has two sons, Derrod and Antowine Williams, who are also graduates of New Boston High School.



    Jason Reid

    Jason Reid, Assistant Secretary - Jason has served on the board since he was elected in May of 2014. He is a 1996 graduate of New Boston High School and has lived in the community almost his entire life. He has volunteered as a coach for the New Boston Youth Sports Association for the last 7 years. He is the owner at Jason Reid State Farm in Mt. Pleasant. He has 2 boys, Tyler who is 16 and Gage who is 11, who are both enrolled in NBISD. He is engaged to Misty Raulston, also from New Boston.



    Kylel Erwin              

    Kyle Erwin, Member - Kyle was born and raised in southwest Arkansas and attended Mineral Springs schools. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arkansas in 1994. Kyle has been self-employed as the owner/agent of Kyle Erwin Insurance in Hooks since 2001. He has been a resident of New Boston’s school district since 1998. His wife is Robin (Hegler) Erwin, New Boston 1986, and he has two daughters - Mallory Ozymy, New Boston 2013, and Macey Erwin currently attends Oakview Primary School. He has served on the board for New Boston Youth Sports Association for seven years as treasurer and volunteered as a coach for eleven years. Kyle’s hobbies include hunting, fishing, genealogical research, college football, and coaching local youth sports. He was elected as a trustee in May of 2014.




     Edd Williams, Member - Edd was elected to New Boston ISD School Board in May 2018.  He was born and raised in New Boston.  After graduating from New Boston High School and a stint in the US Marine Corps, he was an educator in St. Louis, Missouri for 36 years.  He and his wife Josephine have four children. Upon retirement, he and Josephine moved back to New Boston, where Mr. Williams immediately involved himself with the Christian Coalition for Unity's tutoring, mentoring, and work programs.
